As the parent company, headquartered in Bloomington, IL, Tentac is a privately-owned company which began its story as an insurance agency. It now consists of more than 20 companies serving multiple communities and employing hundreds of people.

Meet our Owners

Dave Fedor

Dave Fedor, Owner and Chief Financial Officer of Tentac Enterprises. Dave graduated from Illinois State University with a B.S. in Accounting and in Business Administration. Prior to joining Tentac Enterprises (formerly The Snyder Companies) in 1991 as the Chief Financial Officer, he was a Certified Public Accountant for Dunbar, Breitweiser & Company.

Charlie Farner

Charlie Farner, Owner of Tentac Enterprises. Charlie is a 1986 graduate of Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. He began his career with Snyder Insurance in Bloomington more than 20 years ago. In 1995 he was appointed Agency Manager for Snyder Insurance. Charlie still continues to lend his expertise in insurance to our insurance agency while spearheading company programs such as BRICK and MORTAR.

The Advisory Board was created in 2019 to provide ownership with safe and confidential advice on a variety of company-wide topics affecting the day to day operations, as well as the future growth and health of the company as a whole.

JEDI Sales Force

One way Tentac Enterprises differentiates itself from its competitors is by having a Dynamic high-performance sales team named the "JEDI Sales Force." which began in 2020.

Our invite-only sales professionals have ongoing training and support from parent company Tentac Enterprises while learning about the other companies we own. JEDI invest additional dedicated time beyond their day-to-day operations to attend events, work, volunteer at charitable events, and continue building relationships and providing exceptional results for all our clients through Tentac. They have become top individual performers in their industries, and we are very proud to have them on our team.
